NI PEAR Conference 2026!

We're delighted to invite you to the Northern Ireland Paediatric Education, Audit and Research network (NI PEAR) Conference 2026, Shaping Tomorrow’s Child Health, taking place on Friday 23rd October 2026 at Belfast Castle.
The conference is open to medical students, resident doctors, associate specialists, allied health professionals and consultants working with children and young people across Northern Ireland.
Attendance is free of charge, with lunch provided.
We have an exciting programme planned, exploring some of the key issues shaping the future of child health and the important role of paediatricians in advocacy, tackling health inequalities and addressing the long-term burden of ill health.

Clinical Case Competition!

The annual NI PEAR Clinical Case Competition is returning and will be showcased during the upcoming NI PEAR Conference, Shaping Tomorrow’s Child Health.
Following the huge success of last year’s competition, which featured an excellent calibre of presentations, we're delighted to invite abstract submissions once again.
The Clinical Case Competition is open to all grades, specialties and disciplines involved in paediatrics across Northern Ireland, including:
Medical students
Paediatric and paediatric subspecialty trainees
Allied healthcare professionals working in paediatrics
We invite applicants to submit abstracts of clinically interesting and educational cases, offering a fantastic opportunity for shared learning. Entries will be shortlisted for the opportunity to present at a regional conference, and to compete for a trophy awarded to the winning presentation.
